Week Six - Guided Meditation

Return to the Physical

Welcome to Week 6. This week, we come full circle to revisit the foundation of our practice: our physical well-being.

You are not the same person you were in Week 2. You have since explored the mind, the emotions, and the spirit. Now, we bring all of that new awareness back into the body.

This is not a repetition, but a deepening of our practice. The goal is to listen more closely, notice with more subtlety, and connect with our physical selves on a profound new level. Let’s explore what new wisdom our bodies have to share with us.

Hello, and welcome. As we begin our week of revisiting physical well-being, today’s practice is a simple and gentle return to the body.

There is nothing to achieve or change. Our only goal is to check in and listen.

We will move our awareness through the body, from our toes to the crown of our head, simply noticing the sensations we find without any judgment. This is a practice of pure awareness—of being present with your physical self exactly as it is in this moment.

Following our usual format, let’s settle in and begin.

Thank you for your practice. As you move into your day, carry this renewed connection with your body. Remember that simply listening to what it has to say is a profound act of care. Have a fantastic day.

Hello and welcome. Today, we bring a soft, gentle focus to the stomach.

This area, our intuitive core, can often become a storehouse for unresolved feelings and daily stress, leading to physical and emotional tension.

Our intention today is simple: to soften. We will use the breath to bring warmth and space to our belly, gently releasing any tightness we may be holding onto. This is an act of deep nourishment for your body and mind. Let’s begin.

As you conclude, take a moment to appreciate this center of calm you’ve cultivated. Throughout your day, remember you have the power to soften and release, allowing life to be digested with greater ease. Have a peaceful day.

Hello and welcome. Today, we return our gentle awareness to the liver.

We’ve learned that this is where anger can be held. Now, we can approach this knowledge not with fear, but with compassion.

Our intention today is to release. Imagine your breath is like a cool, clear stream, flowing through this area and gently washing away any residue of anger or resentment. This is not about forcing anything, but simply allowing a natural release to occur. Let’s begin this process of purification together.

Thank you for this gentle and courageous practice. Remember that you can meet frustration not with more fire, but with a cool, calming breath. You are choosing peace. Have a wonderful day.

Hello and welcome. Today, our awareness returns to the kidneys.

We’ve explored this area as the source of our vitality, or “chi,” and its connection to the deep-seated “fight or flight” response and the emotion of fear. Living in a state of stress can deplete this vital energy.

So, our practice today is one of gentle restoration. We will use the breath to bring a warm, soothing energy to the kidneys, intending to replenish their strength and calm our entire nervous system. This is a practice of recharging your inner battery.

Well done on this restorative practice. You have offered deep rest to your body’s core energy source. Carry this feeling of quiet strength and inner safety with you for the rest of your day.

Hello and welcome. Today, we return our awareness to the bowels.

We have come to know this area as our physical and emotional center for “letting go.” Previously, we focused on the idea of release. Today, we deepen that practice by focusing on trust.

Our bodies have an innate wisdom to release what no longer serves our well-being. Our practice today is to surrender to that wisdom. Instead of “trying” to let go, we will simply create a soft, spacious environment in the belly and allow the process of release to happen naturally. Let’s begin this practice of deep trust and surrender.

Thank you for this meditation of deep trust. As you go about your day, hold onto this feeling of spaciousness and flow. Trust in your body’s wisdom to release what is no longer needed.

Welcome to your practice. Today, we gently revisit the pancreas.

We’ve connected this area to our ability to find and process the joy in our lives. Now, we deepen this by focusing on balance.

Just as the pancreas works tirelessly to maintain a delicate balance within our bodies, we can use our practice to cultivate a gentle, emotional balance within our hearts. Our intention is to soothe this area with our breath, fostering a sense of inner harmony and calm self-appreciation. Let’s begin.

Well done. Carry this feeling of gentle self-nourishment with you. Remember to be “sweet” to yourself today, offering yourself the same care and balance you’ve just cultivated in this practice.

Welcome. As we conclude our week of revisiting the body, today we return to the small intestine.

Previously, we connected this area to our capacity to absorb the joy and nourishment life offers. Today, we deepen this by focusing on the wisdom of discernment.

Just as the small intestine intelligently sorts through what will nourish the body and what must be passed along, we too can cultivate a wise discernment for our mental and emotional diet. Our practice is about consciously choosing to absorb what uplifts our well-being—joy, love, and peace—while allowing what doesn’t to simply pass through.

Thank you for completing this week’s journey. As you move into your day, remember the power of your discernment. Choose to absorb joy, to absorb peace, and to absorb love. Let the rest simply pass through.
